It’s okay for dim sum place , i have been there a few times and every single time I had to send some items back to get more steaming. Pro: plenty of choices Con: It was kinda weird, once you left table walking to the door, at the same time the server would be rush to table and open the book to look how much tips. I could see her face expression, satisfied or not.
Decent dim sum experience, as most of the traditional dim sum dishes tasted authentic and not too greasy. Pan-fried noodles and fried rice are also pretty good, but the service can be spotty if they get busy. Beware they charge a service fee for tea. Large parking lot so easy to find a spot if you get there early.
Greatly enjoyed the dim sum here. Not a wide variety of options but the items they serve, are done well. Not too oily, and actually one of the best I've had in the area. Everything tastes really good. They have very authentic Chinese dishes and am excited to come back to try dinner.
Dim sum was normal in taste, some dishes were a little less flavorful. The restaurant is in what looks like an old Applebees diner and they still use the booths with patched up seats. Our favorite was the spareribs and baked custard bun. The Hao Gao and sui Mai were average. The shrimp balls were a little over cooked. Still good place if you’re out in Davis!
I really enjoy eating here it is one of my favorite dim sum places here in Davis without having to go to the Bay area to get this kind of quality food. I don't know if it was because our whole party was not at the table or what but we were sitting there for quite a while even after everyone arrived before we received any kind of service. I did notice that there were only three people working on the floor at the time so maybe that was the reason for the initial slow service. After they had taken our order though the cooks back there were cranking out that food. I have no idea how they cooked everything so fast but all of our kept coming out one dish after another. The good is excellent from the duck to the roast pork and the fried calamari. All the food was delicious my kids especially enjoyed the bao. The mango pudding was really good and the law mai gai fan is very tasty I was surprised it had no egg or nuts in which is was really great because I usually don't care for those things in it. Overall great dim sum and Chinese food. Kids also really enjoyed the live aquariums of the fish and lobster there, nothing like checking out the live food before you eat it. Side note the little one thought the lobster was a giant shrimp.
Nice dim sum place with your typical HK dim sum. Plenty of dim sum varieties to choose from. There are a few large tables for big groups in the middle and smaller booth tables on the sides.
